Upholstery CleaningSameday Restoration and Carpet Cleaning cleans all kinds of fabric and leather upholstery
UPHOLSTERY CLEANING – Orange County
Same Day Restoration and Carpet Cleaning provides quality upholstery cleaning for most fabric types. Our process includes conducting a fiber check, which ensures that we are using the best method to clean your upholstery and specific fiber type.
Upholstery cleaning is not something we think about on a daily basis. It is often left on the back burner until the fibers can no longer mask the dirt and oil that naturally build up over time. Consider how much time you spend sitting on your upholstery and compare it to the amount of time spent in your bed linens (which you clean considerably more often.) It is necessary to have your upholstery cleaned regularly to maintain its appearance and your homes overall cleanliness.
The products we use are non-toxic, people and pet friendly; our cleaning products also will not irritate your skin. With our thorough cleaning process, we make sure not to leave any sticky residue or odor behind. We use a clean, neutralizing rinse to ensure we get everything up and out of your upholstery.
We specialize in pet odor removal and the sanitation of upholstery after pet accidents.
Before we begin to clean your upholstery, we assess the fabric type and colorfastness of your upholstery to determine the best method for cleaning. All of our technicians at Same Day Restoration and Carpet Cleaning have undergone extensive training and hold the proper IICRC certifications to handle a variety of upholstery fabric types. We will evaluate each piece of your furniture to make sure we handle the material correctly.
From there, we’ll decide what cleaning process we use. There is no type of upholstery or fabric that we haven’t run into and cleaned successfully. We have serviced various fiber types ranging from microfiber to wool. We also handle more delicate materials like velvet upholstery and Haitian cotton upholstery.
Our team is experienced and knowledgeable enough to adapt to the situation at hand for your convenience. Before we start the cleaning process, we courteously protect the furniture in the surrounding area. The steps we take when cleaning upholstery are as follows:
- Fiber analysis and Color test (if applicable).
- Thorough dry vacuuming of the deep crevices
- Pre-treat stubborn spots and/or stains
- Deodorize your upholstery (if necessary).
- High temperature steam clean via emulsifier
- Application of fabric conditioner to soften fibers
- High-powered vacuum extraction for dry fabric
- Minimal dry time because of high vacuum extraction
- Apply Fabric Protector (if applicable)

How often should I have my upholstery professionally cleaned?
Manufacturers recommend having upholstery professionally cleaned every 12-24 months, depending on the fiber type and use.
What method do you use for furniture cleaning?
The method that we use for furniture cleaning is hot water extraction, otherwise known as “steam cleaning” . Same Day Restoration’s hot water extraction cleaning method safely and gently removes the toughest build-up, spots and stains. We apply an emulsifier to break down dirt and oil. Then, with a powerful suction extract, we suction out the deep-down dirt, allergens, cleaning solution and 95% of the moisture.
This is the cleaning method that most upholstery manufacturers recommend.
The tag on my furniture recommends a dry cleaning method. Can Same Day Restoration clean it?
Yes, we can. We’ll pre-test your fabric to determine which cleaning method will be the safest and most effective. The tag, or “Manufacturer Liability Code,” is required to recommend “a”cleaning method for the upholstery – even though it may not be the most effective method for removing soil.
How long will it take for my furniture to dry?
Your specific upholstery fabric will determine which cleaning method we use. While the cleaning method, along with optional protector application, will alter the drying time, typical dry times range from 6-12 hours after service is complete. Our technicians do not leave your upholstery soaking wet – however, it will be damp.
